Rehabilitation of the Bazou-Tongo-Milombe section: the physical progress of the works is satisfactory

The project is part of the asphalting and rehabilitation program for certain sections of road in the Littoral and Western regions with moderate traffic, with the aim of making the movement of people and goods easier.

Financed by the Public Investment Budget for a total amount of 3,380,257,602 CFA francs including tax dedicated to the execution of the works of the firm phase and the conditional phase, the project covers a length of 34.8 km.

To date, the work is almost complete and the CAS and BUN'S Group has carried out several services, the consistency of which is as follows: general earthworks on the existing platform to obtain a road width of between 6 and 8 meters, the installation shape of the platform, the rehabilitation and re-profile of the cut embankments, the re-profile of the ditches and outlets, the implementation of the base layer of lateritic gravel, the execution of a wearing course in paving of stone, the supply and installation of culverts and the construction of masonry and concrete ditches.

Likewise, other work was carried out, in particular the reconstruction or reinforcement of certain crossing structures, impregnation, the implementation of a two-layer surface coating, the implementation of a rubble masonry covering and consideration of environmental protection.

It should also be noted that the completion of this work will allow fluidity in the movement of goods and people in the Ndé department in general and in the localities of Bazou, Tongo and Milombe in particular.
